Program dilemma

So, as soon as I can get a hold of our pastor, I'm planning to start working out the wedding program details. The dilemma? Well, I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to put in it. Aside from the events and the attendants, I'd like to give the guests something a little more interesting to look at. I was thinking of doing a recap of how Scott and I first met (thank you Melissa), or a favorite memory, or a poem or excerpt from a book that reminds me of us. I wanted some suggestions though. On top of that, I don't have a clue what kind of format I want to put it in. I'm leaning towards a book styled program, but I'm open to ideas. I'd like something creative, like these that I got from TheKnot.com. I'd really like to do something creative and fun. Any ideas?

  1. what i find is a lot of people crumple up the programs and end up throwing them away...if they are going to do that, why not put some sort of alternate use instructions on them, like "tear the back page off and make an origami bird out of this" type thing...??? I would not throw your program out by the way, I am sentimental and keep EVERYTHING!

  2. i would put directions to the reception venue in them. that way they have to take them out of the church haha
