Ring Box!

9:25 AM

The instructions for this wicked ring box were posted on Oncewed. I'm contemplating doing it. I had already planned to make a box for the rings for Kevin to hang onto. Of couse, I would loose the flower on the top and change the fabrics, but it would be kinda cool to have him open something like that, though i don't know how he would like holding it the whole time. That might be a little much. hmmmm....I'll have to think about that.

A feast for the eyes!

9:16 AM

Thanks to the blog Oncewed.com I have been exposed to the amazing blog Cannelle et Vanille by Aran who makes some amazing food and takes even more amazing photos of it! As if eating with your eyes wasn't enough you can get the receipes for all these amazing items! I would love to takesome time to actually try some of these amazing food items. Of course, now I have another blog to stalk.

Program dilemma

10:31 AM

So, as soon as I can get a hold of our pastor, I'm planning to start working out the wedding program details. The dilemma? Well, I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to put in it. Aside from the events and the attendants, I'd like to give the guests something a little more interesting to look at. I was thinking of doing a recap of how Scott and I first met (thank you Melissa), or a favorite memory, or a poem or excerpt from a book that reminds me of us. I wanted some suggestions though. On top of that, I don't have a clue what kind of format I want to put it in. I'm leaning towards a book styled program, but I'm open to ideas. I'd like something creative, like these that I got from TheKnot.com. I'd really like to do something creative and fun. Any ideas?

Southern Weddings Magazine!

7:49 AM

I love the blog for Southern Weddings and I'm very happy that they are now a magazine! They have such wonderful postings and information about all kinds of weddings and vendors. I wish them all the best. If you have never checked out their blog, I highly recommend it. You can view it here.

Haunting imagery

7:46 AM

I saw this image from Poser Images Photography, and I can't get it out of my head. It is beautiful in an extremely creepy way. It reminds me of a spider web. I'm super glad I'm going veil-less, but I have to admit they can add something interesting to an image. This one kind of sticks with you.

Flip Test!

1:38 PM

So I didn't really have anything exciting to video tape, but the flip certainly works. I don't have the worlds steadiest hand at it yet, but I find it highly entertaining and transportable. So I could see a lot of fun coming from this little gadget.

"Flippin" out

7:50 AM

So I used some of my Christmas money (thank you very much!) to purchase a Flip for myself. For those that don't know what that is: it is a very small camcorder that has an internal memory drive. You basically flip out the usb cable, plug it into your computer and download your videos. The one I got holds up to 60 min. of video and you get to pick your design on it for free. I thought the vintage look was pretty cute, so I went with that one. It should be arriving today, so after I get a video or two down I'll upload one so you all know how it works. I plan on making use of it for some behind the scenes wedding video and for the honeymoon. I'm super excited!
